For pre-owned aircraft brokers

Tail number in. Listing out.

Type an N-number. Taildesk pulls the FAA record, proposes the model and the specification, and hands back a designed spec sheet, a branded listing page on your own domain, and share links you can actually track. Minutes, not an afternoon.

Sample output. N245HC is a real FAA registration; the asking price and the share activity are illustrative.

Sequence

Four steps, and the afternoon is back.

The order never changes, which is the point — the same path every time, whether it is a King Air or a Global.

  1. 01

    Type the tail

An N-number is enough. Taildesk reads the FAA master record, the type certificate behind it and the engine on file, then proposes the model from the catalog.

  2. 02

    Confirm the spec

Drop in the seller's sheet and the extractor proposes the rest. Every field carries where it came from and whether it still needs a look — and nothing you have confirmed is ever overwritten.

  3. 03

    Publish once

One switch turns the draft into a spec sheet PDF, a listing page on your own brokerage site, and an export pack built to each venue's import order.

  4. 04

    Send and watch

Every recipient gets their own link. You see who opened it, how long they stayed, which documents they read and who took the PDF.

FAA registry

The paperwork is already filled in.

Half of building a listing is copying facts off a registration certificate. Taildesk keeps the registry in the building, so that half is done before you start typing.

  • The whole FAA Releasable Aircraft Database, ingested nightly — not a lookup API metered by the call.

  • Registration, serial, year, airworthiness, type certificate and the engine on file, mapped to the registry's own header names.

  • Change watch: when the registrant or the status moves on an aircraft you have linked, it is waiting for you the next morning.

Overnight, on your aircraft

N245HC

Registrant name and certificate issue date changed on the FAA master record.

You find out an aircraft changed hands from your own dashboard, rather than from the buyer who noticed first.

What ships

Everything a listing has to become.

One confirmed specification, and then every artefact a deal needs comes off it — so they can never disagree with each other.

Spec sheet

A designed PDF, not a form dump.

Cover photo, the key-numbers strip, two-column spec pages, your photographs, your contact block, your disclaimer. Letter and A4. Your brand kit sets the colour, the logo and the type.

Every sheet is snapshotted and the snapshots are append-only — the sheet you sent in March is still exactly the sheet you sent in March.

Share links

Know which one they actually read.

One link per recipient. Opens, minutes of attention, which documents were opened and who downloaded the PDF — all of it against a name, not a spreadsheet of anonymous hits.

Links expire and revoke. Gated documents stay gated until you say otherwise.

Venue packs

Built to the importer’s column order.

Controller, AvBuyer, GlobalAir and Trade-A-Plane. Each pack is the venue’s own CSV columns, the same record as JSON, your photographs in listing order, and a README saying what to do with them.

A pack goes stale only when its contents actually change, so it stops nagging you about edits the venue would never see.

Want lists

Your buyers hear first.

Keep what each buyer is looking for — type, year band, hours, budget, base — and the moment a listing goes active it is scored against every want list you hold.

A buyer is emailed at most once per listing, however many of their want lists fit. Nobody gets four copies of the same aeroplane.

Your site

And it all lands on your own inventory page.

Every active listing publishes to a branded inventory page and a listing page on your brokerage’s own domain, with your logo, your colour and your contact block. Enquiries come back as leads, attached to the aircraft they came from. Off-market listings never appear.
